After a successful exhibit at MWC 2026 together with the rest of KDDI Corporation, we had the chance to sit down with Spherience Sweden CEO Bo Ribbing to hear his take and opinion on Spherience’s participation at the show. Read more below to hear his experiences:
What was your experience with KDDI Spherience exhibiting with KDDI Corporation at MWC26?
BR: KDDI Corporation delivered a truly standout presence at MWC26, with a booth that continues to evolve in both design and impact year after year. It was stylish and exciting, with a distinct and very nice Japanese touch! KDDI Spherience played a key role in elevating that experience by bringing a compelling IoT narrative to life, seamlessly complementing KDDI’s broader vision and demonstrating how connected solutions translate into real-world value.
What was the best part of sharing the floor with KDDI Corporation to showcase our connected mobility solutions?
BR: Being integrated within the KDDI booth reinforced Spherience’s position as part of a powerful, end-to-end ecosystem. It clearly demonstrated to visitors that our connected mobility solutions are backed by the scale, reliability, and innovation of KDDI. This level of integration and support is a strong differentiator, setting us apart in a competitive landscape.
What do you think Spherience brought to the floor at #MWC26 compared to other booths?
BR: KDDI Spherience helped showcase a completer and more cohesive story. While many exhibitors focused narrowly on IoT—or omitted it entirely—our presence highlighted how IoT, connectivity, and mobility solutions come together within a unified ecosystem. This approach resonated strongly, illustrating not just individual technologies, but how they integrate to drive meaningful outcomes.
What do you envision for Spherience for #MWC27?
BR: Looking ahead to MWC27, there’s an exciting opportunity for KDDI Spherience to expand its presence even further. Building on this year’s momentum, introducing interactive or live demonstrations, potentially in collaboration with customers, would bring our use cases to life in a powerful way. It’s an exciting trajectory, and we’re well-positioned to continue growing our impact on the global stage.
